Group endorses Ambode for second term



In furtherance of good governance and outstanding infrastructural development in Lagos, a political interest group, Lagos Development Initiative has endorsed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for second term.
In his address at the event, which coincided with the inauguration of the Isolo /Ejigbo chapter of the group, its chairman, Alhaji Sauladeen Omolola Shittu, said the group with chapters in the 57 local governments and council development areas was inaugurated in 2014 to support the firm bid of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
He noted that having watched closely the impressive performance of the governor, it deemed it fit to honour him with a second term .
“You can see the presence of the governor in virtually all part of the state. For instance in Oshodi interchange, you can see the work in progress there..Also in Epe you can see the road network on going there,” he said.
Shittu commended the All progressive leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for giving Lagos such a great gift in the person of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, noting that his impact is felt in all nooks and crannies of the state by all and sundry.
He, however, urged members to keep their permanent voters cards to actualize the vision of a second term for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
He also advised those who have not procured their PVC to do so in the spirit of continuity and good governance.
Alhaji Olawale Alebiosu from Surulere constituency said Governor Ambode has really shown that he is the man of the people through the even spirit of development in the state . He also stressed the need to complete all ongoing road construction in the axis.
Chief Olusegun Olowu from Epe constituency commended the governor for the pace of infrastructural development in the area particularly the networks of roads which is gradually opening up the community for economic development,
“I don’t need to campaign for the governor, his works are evident to all in all nooks and crannies of the state .The road network and chalets in Epe are un-equaled. Indeed he has improved greatly on the work of his predecessor
Abraham Amos representing Badagry division said the governor has done a lot within the constituency with some other ongoing projects. He noted that the development of the tourist sites nad on going road project would open up the area for economic development especially for investors.
The event was attended by other leaders of the party, including Salawat Ashafa, representing Ibeju Lekki, Umaru Anthony, Agege, Morufu Amsat, representing ikosi Ejinrin and Prince Jimoh Gbadamosi, Oshodi-Isolo, among others
